I am the owner/operator of the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The purpose of this blog is inform anyone who is interested about events and areas of interest in the twin cities area and to update everyone about the restaurant. I also may want to throw in an occasional anecdote or story once in a while ( I am partial to tall tales).

First, we are working on setting up a website for the restaurant and hope to link this blog to it and to provide our menu, location, take-out number, etc. We hope to have the website, http://www.bhcountrykitchen.com, up and running in early 2012.

Anyone who comes to Saint Joseph knows about the statues that appear on the streetcorners downtown. Past years’ themes have included cars, barnyard animals, carousel rides, and bears. Each statue is customized by a local artist, business or organization. This year the theme will be PIRATES!

Everyone is getting excited about hosting the Senior Open in 2012 and 2014. It will be a thrill to get a chance to see golf legends in action.
